  A third reich period female RAD subsidiary (Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst/German Women’s Labour Service) “Arbeitsmaid” rank brooch; constructed of bronze; the obverse depicting a mobile swastika, with six wheat stalks, circumscribed “Arbeit für dein Volk adelt dich selbst” (German - Labour on behalf of the people nobles you) in traditional German script; horizontal pinback; unmarked, but numbered “42841” on the reverse; light patina from age; in overall near extremely fine condition.
