  A circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bears a central pebbled iron cross paty, encompassed by a border inscribed with “STIFTUNG REICHSEHRENMAL”, the reverse centre bears the inscription “DEM GEDENKEN UNSERER GEFALLENEN” (THE MEMORY OF OUR FALLEN), within a border inscribed with “ZUR ERRICHTUNG DES REICHS EHRENMALS” (FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE REICH HONOUR), measuring 34.21 mm (w) x 37.30 mm (h), fine.
