GENERALOBERST EDUARD DIETL ARTWORK POSTCARD.
A standard size, mid-weight cardstock postcard presents of Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and Oak-Leaves winner, Generaloberst Eduard Dietl wearing a mountain trooper's cap and wind blouse with a pair of binoculars slung about his neck. The visible uniform details include parts of the shoulder boards, part of a unique "Larisch" pattern collar tab and a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak-leaves. The background features Willrich's distinctive "W" initial cypher with the date, "1942", and Dietl's handwritten name. The reverse of the postcard has black printed Gothic script which includes the artists name, W. Willrich", the subjects name with rank prefix, "Generaloberst Dietl", along with additional printed script that includes, "Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland Prag I Hibernerplatz 7", (National League for Germans Abroad Prague 1 Hibernerplatz 7). The postcard was produced by the VDA, as number seventy in the "E" series of fund raising postcards. The postcard is in overall very good condition.
