K98 Bayonet ASW 42 by E. & F. Horster & Co. Solingen from 1942.

G3321

German bayonet by E. & F. Horster & Co. Solingen from 1942. It has a very nice blade, the lock works. Scabbard also made by E. & F. Horster & Co. Solingen from 1940. The scabbard has its original numbers removed (Deleted) and the numbers matching the bayonet have been applied. The bayonet could probably have been renovated and completed with this scabbard (The signs of wear on the bayonet and scabbard are the same, so this is an indication that they are a set) But when exactly it happened is difficult to say. To sum up, a nice, original and interesting bayonet.
